CraftyCAtholicmoms

We’re creators and curators of Catholic curriculum and content.

We at CraftyCatholicMoms are Catholics, wives, mothers, and friends dedicated to living our faith the best we know how, and sharing it with our families. Most of us do that from San Antonio, TX. We are faithful to the Magisterium of the Church, and we’re here to help you enjoy learning and teaching our Catholic faith.

Michelle Alonzo

CraftyCatholicMoms Co-Creator
Michelle is working on her ever-evolving comic and theatrical genius, especially through our Instagram account, while she and her husband chase their 6 kids around in San Antonio, TX. She has a keen eye for beauty and storytelling, some of which she credits to her Masters in Arts Education from St. Michael’s College and BA in English Drama from Steubenville. With her K-12 Theater Licensure, she’s directed, choreographed, and produced many youth and community theater shows over the past two decades. She loves to throw her creativity at a project, feed people butter-rich foods with great coffee, and fight for how families should support each other. Her world and expertise are always a mix of things that range from coping with her own ADHD and the neurodivergence and auto-immune disorders in the rest of her family (which affect family meals!!), connecting with her family back home in Connecticut, or making plethora schooling choices work for her household. She’s also great at keeping the floors clean.
Erica Dunning
CraftyCatholicMoms Co-Creator
Erica, who adores Biblical typology and asking the question, “How can we make that Catholic?”, lives in San Antonio, TX, with her husband and four children. There are many days she realizes that her BBA in Marketing is just what’s needed to help her communicate the faith to her family. She’s formed in all three levels of Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, manages the bulletin and website for her parish, and finds every excuse to design or craft the myriad ideas that pop in her head, especially if they have a good theme. Her work is featured prominently on the website, and varies from reflections to kids crafts to DIY projects to extension work based on the Sunday Gospels. She loathes social media, so her Facebook page is at least 8 years out-of-date.

Dora Ramirez

CraftyCatholicMoms Co-Creator
Dora is the chef, recipe developer, and photographer at dorastable.com and Mi Mero Mole. She just happens to be our friend and the reason this blog exists. Born and raised in Mexico and a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in New York, she is a life-long Catholic, mom of three neuro-divergent kids, and the author of “Vegan Tamales Unwrapped: a step-by-step guide to sweet and savory tamales,” and Comida Casera, her new Vegan cookbook.

Megan Maloney

Mom of 5, Megan loves spending time outside with her kids and growing their imaginations through art and play, even in the heat of San Antonio, TX. With her background as an art teacher and BA in Art Education, it’s no surprise that she’s reveling in homeschooling her rowdy bunch with the support of her husband. She’s inspired by books, good friends and family, her deeply rooted Catholic faith, her children, and her husband. Her day-to-day is as surprising as that first stroke of a paintbrush on canvas, so sharing her talent for panting is not always a priority. Instead, she focuses on fostering close relationships with family and friends, to whom she is eternally grateful for helping her walk through each day. Even though it drives her nuts when her floor isn’t picked up, her door is always open because her generosity of spirit would never let a thing like that keep her from offering all she has. Or maybe the kids left it that way . . .
