Back in 2018, many of the kids in our group were getting older. While they may have begrudgingly accepted some Saintly face paint or done our Saint matching game, it was obvious they needed something more.

As Catholics, we know that studying the Saints helps us to live holier lives. You can read about them in countless Saint books, and celebrate their feast days at Mass or at home. You can even listen to great podcasts about them on the Domestic Church Project app. It was created by the family at Catholic Sprouts. They’ve been uploading a podcast story a day for months now, and there are even coloring pages to go along with them.

After you’ve listen to a few, print our _____’s Saint Story booklet. It’s just two pages to print front and back (My Saint Story cover, My Saint Story pg 1,4, My Saint Story pg 2,3), and it gives kids a chance to think about what their own Saint story might be. What would their prayer card look like? When and how will they die? What miracles will be attributed to them? What are their symbols? You get the idea, and they will, too.

For the littler ones, we used a Future Patron Saint photo booth toward the same goal. You can check it out here, or peruse our other All Saints and All Souls Days activities.
